Sustainable Energy’s SUNERGY Inverters Certified for Germany and Other Markets
Calgary, Alberta – March 30, 2010 - Sustainable Energy Technologies Ltd (TSX V:”STG”) announced today that its SUNERGY ELV (extra low voltage) and SUNERGY LV (low voltage) inverters have been certified for interconnection with the power grid in Germany, as well as France, Belgium and the Czech Republic, which have adopted the German interconnection for their solar PV installations.
“This is the second of two major product milestones achieved in this Quarter” said Brent Harris, Vice President, Product Development and a co-founder of the Company. “With UL/CSA certification for North America achieved in January and VDE certification achieved this month, we have now cleared the way for entry into all major global solar markets. Not only are the VDE and UL standards the most technically comprehensive in the industry, but in combination they grant admission to 75% of the world market for grid-tied photovoltaics.”
The patented SUNERGY inverter technology is at the heart of Sustainable Energy’s PARALEX system architecture which is the first to deliver the higher energy yields and lower cost installation of a massively parallel solar PV system design with an industry standard form and cost factor. The very low operating voltages of the PARALEX system make it inherently safe for schools, public buildings and other applications where public safety is a driver. A video explaining PARALEXTM and its
advantages can be found at www.paralexsolar.com.
The SUNERGY ELV (extra low voltage) and SUNERGYTM LV (low voltage) have been certified to “DIN VDE 0126-1-1” standards by Berufsgenossenschaft Energie Textil Elektro Medienerzeugnisse a German certification agency. Sustainable Energy has begun production and first deliveries of a 230 volt AC output with a nominal 5,000 watt AC power output. Peak conversion efficiencies are measured in excess of 96.3%.
