Easy System Design - 100% Roof Coverage
PARALEX systems simplify system design, making it easier and more cost effective to implement solar into existing buildings or new construction. PARALEX systems are unique in that they don’t require ideal conditions to operate effectively, and they have perfect flexibility to integrate with architectural constraints.
Conventional solar power systems are highly sensitive to small amounts of partial shading, which makes careful analysis of obstacles and shadow profiles a critical element of the design process. With PARALEX, solar panels can be placed for virtually 100% coverage in high sun areas of a roof or structure. Morning and afternoon partial shading from minor obstacles are not an issue, since any reduction in power is limited to the affected module. This is not possible with conventional series-wired systems since all modules connected in series are affected by partial shading, even when limited to a corner or edge of a single module.
Conventional System Design: Shadow profiles must be carefully examined and avoided due to disproportionate losses
PARALEX System Design: Minor partial shading is not a concern as losses are isolated to affected modules, allowing for simplified system design and maximum use of available space.
